Service Installation

Our Internet services are delivered to your home via fixed wireless technology. In order to use our service you require a small antenna to be installed on your home. This antenna is used to connect your home to our network. Our one time installation fee of $199.99 covers the complete installation and all equipment required to receive the service.

Learn more about our technology.

Figure 1 - Customer Subscriber Unit
The typical subscriber unit (Fig 1.) is 9.5 inches in diameter, 2 inches think and weighs less than 2lbs.

These units consist of an 18dbi dual polarized antenna allowing us to take advantage of 2x2 MIMO technology to provide you with the highest speed and service level possible.

Our installation crews follow strict guidelines for signal levels and will only install service with a strong signal; this ensures that external factors like snow, rain and wind will in no way affect the service to you.

Our typical residential installation takes about 2 hours to complete. The installation crew will provide all hardware required for the service, run the cable in to your house and use a small satellite style arm to mount then unit. In Fig 2. you can see what a typical installation looks like, the antenna is kept close to the roof so that it is out of site as much as possible from the ground.

The installation team will test the service ensure that the service is working in your home before they leave.

Do you live in a rural area? If so our service is still available to you. Our system does require that you Line-Of-Site to one of our broadcast towers, because many customers in rural areas have trees around their houses you may require a tower. Standard Broadband has installed many towers for customers and we are happy to perform a site survey free of charge to determine what is required to get Line-Of-Site to your home. Contact our sales department for more information and to schedule a site visit.
